Dialogue

For this project I made a guy who was tempted to press a button he was not supposed to press. I had to restart this project because my original one was too ambitious for my current drawing ability. Finding the right mouth shapes were difficult for such a simple character so in the future I will try to make the mouth look more complex, but I will need to get better at drawing first.

Walk Cycle

The walk cycle project was very difficult and projects from my other classes ate up my time so I was only able to do the lower body. The shorts helped a lot with drawing the direction of the hips. This project also needs more in-betweens.

Weight

For my weight project I animated a small guy trying to lift and pull a coin. I restarted this project several times so I didn't spend the time I needed to finish it. This project really needed some more in-betweens and I need to practice making characters that are not stick figures.

Head Turn

For the head turn project I drew The Knight from the game Hollow Knight looking from right to left. For my gesture drawings I took images from the game, but this turn is not actually in the game because in order for the character to feel responsive it just flips when it changes direction.

Flour Sack Gestures and Animation

Image
For my flour sack gestures project I tried to make frames that I can use for the next project. I plan to make my flour sack jump off a box and try to swing on a rope and eventually fall. In my actual project I decided not to use the rope idea because the swing would make it more complicated and I was worried about running out of time.

Overlapping Action

For my overlapping action and follow through project I made this little robot character who has an antennae on his head that acts as a pendulum. His head and legs also have some overlapping action when he is hit with the ball.

Bouncing Ball

For my bouncing ball I wanted the ball to bounce off of the target and get pierced by an arrow. Animating the ball bouncing was easy because I could copy and paste the same ball and squash and stretch it easily. The most difficult part was animating the ball after it had been pierced because it was difficult to determine where the ball should be on the arrow.
